Regularly Scheduled Program
GAME NIGHT
Wednesday night 6:30pm-8pm we have 90 WHOLE minutes of game time! We meet at folks houses, Odlin in the Summer and the Community Church Fellowship Hall. Fun is very important to us so we take it very seriously. During this time we play anything from card games, team games (dodgeball with pool noodles), to musical chairs. We also provide snacks to fuel all the rowdy fun and give times for kids to hang out with friends. Every now and then we switch it up and in lieu of Game night we host special events such as a movie night, fire night or BBQ.
GROUP DISCUSSION TIME
Every Wednesday before game time we host a 30 minute discussion time. During this time we use to discuss topics ranging from life skills, the fruits of the spirit and our own character development. We break into smaller groups based on who shows up each week.
KICK OFF
On the first Wednesday of each month a family hosts 3V’s for dinner, games, a testimony is shared followed by a discussion time. Kick off is an opportunity for kids to learn more about people’s personal experiences with the Christian Faith in an unassuming way. It is important that each kid that joins feels welcome regardless of faith background.
Additional Group Activities
OFF-ISLAND TRIPS
3V's provides regular off island trips for youth. These trips provide youth the sense of independence and strengthen the community. Past trips have included bowling alleys, skating, trampoline parks, and sporting events.
CAMP
3V’s is committed to providing youth on Lopez the opportunity to have a summer camp experience. In the past we have traveled to YoungLife camps. In 2024 we visited Camp Firwood and will be returning in 2025. We value a presentation of Christianity that is honest, simple, and unassuming, and it is important that each kid that joins feels welcome regardless of faith background. Camp is about having an unforgettable experience with new and old friends alike.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Service Projects provide an opportunity for Lopez youth to give back to the community that supports our program, instills an understanding of the importance of volunteering. We have worked with the Family Resource Center, individuals and local churches. Service projects give kids a chance to work as a team for the good of their community.
